Dr. Bress is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Weill Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry. She earned her BA in cognitive science at Vassar College and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Stony Brook University, with a clinical internship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. She recently completed a two-year T32 research fellowship in geriatric mood disorders in the Weill Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry. Her research focuses on identifying neural markers of risk and symptomatology in depression that can be targeted by novel interventions across the life span. She is particularly interested in psychophysiological (e.g., event-related potential) measures of reward responsiveness and their relationship to depression.
