Way to Health

Description:

Collaboration with Penn Medicine Center for Health Care Innovation and the Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics

Our team uploads this application onto participants’ smartphones and provides them with a wearable device for use throughout the duration of their participation in our research study. Each morning and evening the application sends participants daily texts each morning and evening with a set of brief questions to answer about how they are feeling. It also includes passive sensing that measures sleep patterns, step count, and heart rate. The tool is used in addition to therapy sessions with a social worker, and aims to help seniors improve their emotional health and quality of life.
